“Take a trawl through the annals of ear-sticking melodies and you’ll follow cupid’s arrow, soaring in a straight line from the Brill Building to the Beatles…Follow that arrow a bit further, and you’ll find your heart racing to the love-is-all indie pop of Berkeley’s Morning Benders”. – SF BAY GUARDIAN
“Rarely has a debut album sounded so fresh and endearing”. – LA Times
“Jaunty, melodic tunes ideal for summer days and rainy afternoons”. – SPIN
“A lot of the writing on the forthcoming, impressively consistent and endlessly catchy Big Echo is set in that ineffable state of yearning and pensiveness that comes with coming of age, tightly packaged in clever if simply constructed pop”. – Stereogum
