Michael Hoppe - Tapestry Instores Sept. 14th
Having recorded more than 20 albums in his career, Grammy-nominated composer Michael Hoppé continues his evocative, melodic artistry on his brand new release, Tapestry.
Tapestry is a series of soundtrack-like pieces elegantly produced and composed by Michael, recorded with some of the most accomplished musicians of the genre, including Alyssa Park (violin), Joe Powers (harmonica), Mitsuki Dazai (koto) and contralto AnDee Sanchez. Tapestry also features Prairie Moon, the dynamic opening track recorded with The Prague Symphony Orchestra.
The enhanced CD also showcases Heather Harlow’s multi-award winning Short Film “Nous Deux Encore” (Together Again), which features an original score by Michael. Screened at Cannes in 2009, the film has been seen at numerous national and international festivals, receiving several awards including two Audience Awards, Best International Documentary and Best Foreign Language Film.
On August 15th, Nous Deux Encores won Best Documentary at The HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood.

The Tapestry package features turn-of-the-century photographs from the celebrated photographer E.O. Hoppé, the artist’s grandfather, which are accompanied by a series of poems written especially for each piece by poet Therése Tappouni, both elegantly enriching a 20 page booklet.
This fall Napadogan will release a remastered version of The Poet: Romances for Cello, Michael’s classic collaborative effort with renowned Swiss cellist, Martin Tillman.
